Professional Body
PFTC is the SAQA registered Professional Body for firearm professionals within the firearm training industry this is for individuals as well as companies.
- The PFTC awards Professional Designations which are a prestigious and highly sought-after award within the industry as this is an award that is presented by way of the industry recognising you for your skills, knowledge and contribution to industry as is the case across many different industries.
- The PFTC encourages industry professionals to apply for these Professional Designations and to keep them current once they are awarded. As the concept of Professional Designations grows in South Africa, more and more companies, authorities, and regulators, both local and international, will start to request these designations as part of their due diligence processes.
- As is required by SAQA, the PFTC offers firearm professionals a CPD (Continuing Professional Development) program which allocates points to activities within the industry that promote continuous professional development, to ensure currency within our membership. These points are accumulated over a period of three years.
- Industry Professionals who are awarded Professional Designations must be PFTC Members in good standing. These members will receive a Professional Body Membership Profile and will be able to access the CPD events hosted by and approved by the PFTC. Members are able to access their profile with a password once their profiles are set up by the PFTC admin office.
Professional Designations are recognized and registered with the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).

The Continued Professional Development (CPD) program hosted and administered by the PFTC has been created to ensure the strictest compliance with guidelines and requirements put in place by SAQA.
